SMB coax connectors
SMB coax connectors are smaller versions of SMA connectors
that feature snap coupling. This type of coupling provides easy mating in spaces where screw-type coupling would normally be too difficult. SMB connectors can handle frequency ranges from DC to 4 Ghz. They are primarily used in the telecommunications field. SMB FAKRA connectors are SMB connectors which are encased in a colored plastic housing. These color-coded housings were standardized for use in the automotive industry.
